Questions: Do I need a Visa to drop by America (from the UK) for a few weeks?

Which part of ''America'' ? The United States of America?

If you show the USA, and you are a UK citizen (i.e. you have a UK passport), later there's what's called a ''Visa Waiver Program''. That allows you to stay within the USA for a maximum of 90 days without a visa.

There are correct conditions obviously. You can't work (you can do voluntary work), you can't study, and if you've ever done anything ''bad'' beforehand they may not let you within, for example if you have a history dealing drugs, or if you've ever withheld child visitation from a US citizen.

Obviously, most of these things don't apply to most people... but you should check until that time you go if you surmise you have some ''dark'' segment of your past they might use to junk you entry.
