Questions: If the tenant has a 1-year lease vs a month to month, is he obligated to discharge the remainder of the lease due if he's evicted for non payment or moves out?


Answers: In a 1 year lease the renter is responsible for the remainder of the lease. The innkeeper must show action to mitigate the wrong by actively trying to rent the property. In a month to month lease the renter is only liable for a months rent.
