Adoption
Questions:
A Baptist pastor and his wife, who had a tot dumped on their doorstep recently, hold been expelled by DOCS (Children's Services) from visiting the child or even adopt her because needs to be placed within temporary diligence with "trained carers". Your thoughts?
the child was departed on their doorstep, right? if the mother who had the newborn wanted to own the baby placed within foster care, by docs, consequently she would have call them to pick up the baby, so within my opinion, i regard that the baby, if the coupel want to bring to the fore the baby, should be returned to them.
As "unfair" as it sounds it is around right, even if the baby be left to the pastor and his wife that doesn't money the laws about abandoned children, although I'm sure if they're over-eager enough they'll know how to adopt the baby.
That sounds about right. DOCS, DFACS, CFS -- adjectives of these organizations that have an idea that they can take keeping of children have no perception what is best for children.
These organizations wages their employees little to nought and the public wonders why things aren't getting better. In Georgia, the state have to take over the city of Atlanta's Department of Children and Family Services because of rampant mis-management and, if you can believe this, lost children. They truly don't know where some children are. Florida have the same problems.
My aunt's child give up his son to the state. When my aunt, the child's grandmother, wanted to call round and take a fastidiousness package (she can not afford to lug the child in - massively poor) she was told no. In certainty we were told we could not adopt the child because we be FAMILY! We could not take the child for the mere reality that we were related to the child. How f'ed up is that?
Well, as much as I antipathy to say it, a child shouldn't only just be given to ANYBODY. At least most of the caregivers on the DOCS rolls enjoy been investigated and are checked up on "semi-regularly". Even though it is a Christian nearest and dearest, you still have to think twice. I suspect the DOCS had no information on the pastor and his wife, so they couldn't lawfully leave the newborn.
BUT, I think they probably could come up next to a system by which families such as this, could be investigated and do adjectives the paperwork while still keeping the child. I don't understand the DOCS not even letting them check up on the babe.
But, it sounds to me like a young-looking mother that probably knew this ancestral and knew her toddler would be taken care of.
If I have a willing house, (such as the pastor and his wife), and if I were the DOCS, I'd find some road to get this kid back to the pastor and wife as soon as possible. I know they are short-handed, and respectively case worker have a mountain of cases. So, if I have volunteers, I would find some opening to fast-track the investigation of this family, and administer the child back, (if the kith and kin checks out okay).
Didn't they want the baby to be an merely child?
Answers:
Just because they're Baptist doesn't parsimonious they're good culture or good for the child. If they've be banned from visit then it be probably for a reason. Don't assume newly because someone is a Christan that they're a good being. I can speak from experience.
What crap !
Children's services ALL over the world are so screwed up they don't know a honest thing when they see it.
In my state....it took four years to put a foster mother contained by jail....after she duct tape a two year old to a elevated chair....the little one subsequently died of suffocation. The B!=(a)# has appealed and she is out of intern until her next trial. The articulate she was overwhelmed.
