What causes red eye effect contained by photos and what can you do to ensure it doesn't happen?
It is caused by the flash reflecting rotten of the blood vessels contained by the back of the eye of the subject. Some cameras hold special systems to mitigate this effect by altering exactly when the shutter is open or similar measures.
The flash of the camera reflect off the Retina. The grounds why it is called Red Eye, is because the Retina is Red, and what you are seeing is the Retina (which is Red).
Ways to carry rid of it, cut back on it, or lower it, are
1) Don't use your flash.
2) Use your flash within such a way that it does not angle straight contained by to the eye and back,
3) Use Flash Reduction (which is a short burst of hurricane lantern before taking a picture, which cause the pupil to dilate, which let's in smaller quantity light to the Retina).
4) You can use software to win rid of it.
It's the flash reflecting sour the retina. It happens when you use the flash at close extent.
If you use a bounce flash, you can avoid it. But if you're just using a point-and-shoot camera, the best remedy is purely making sure there's enough street lamp so that you don't have to use the flash.
